“Expressions of Promise”

I love my cabin. It is my sanctuary and little portal into the deepest and truest expression of myself, a container as I meet the material world in new ways, through my art, through the embodiment of my practice, through giving myself full PERMISSION to follow my heart and my impulses and follow and follow until I arrive in new places and things makes sense in new ways.

I have had lots of them moments recently. the symbols and images and shapes coming through me feel like a culmination of things that have been collecting in my subconscious for years, and now this energy has built and I have a physical container that can hold it, and all of this creative life force is ready to come out and play!

My focus is on showing up to my practice, and really dropping into present moment aliveness, with the intention to create from this abundant place, of whatever is “here” whether it be inspiration or peace or fear or doubt, creating from that place.

I am more inspired by really allowing what is present to express, in my body, in my emotions or imagination, than ideas or wants or shoulds. and that different experiences need different forms of expression for me (maybe cause my chart is 95% water, air and fire) life for me is all about movement, dynamism and allowing multiplicity.

Then I organise things into “families” what belongs with what? what pieces, images, words are speaking to each other? how do they want to speak to eachother? trusting it, grouping them together.

Then the next phase is “what wants to happen from here?” maybe they need to sit back for a while, or maybe their purpose or desire for expression in the world, to another, or an external space feels clear.

I truly believe that what we create has consciousness, wisdom and a deep intelligence, and by listening in this way, it is a service to both ourself and the world.

I am sewing these seeds of of “Creative Listening” an approach I am embodying and developing, which is orienting and understanding creativity as a way of listening, relating, and coming into deeper contact with life…

one that explores pathways between our inner experience and outer expression, between our body and imagination, our life and art.

For me this way of relating to my creativity has been a vital companion in my healing and transformative for trusting creative unfolding…
